From Airway to Alignment: Whole-Body Integration Through Myofunctional-Ortho Collaboration

This interdisciplinary course is designed for orthodontists seeking to improve treatment outcomes and long-term stability through collaborative care with myofunctional therapy. Grounded in evidence-based principles and developmental science, this course highlights the critical interplay between oral function, airway health, craniofacial development, and systemic implications across the lifespan.

Participants will explore the foundations of orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT), understand how orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) can influence orthodontic results, and learn to identify functional red flags within their patient population. The course also presents practical strategies for integrating myofunctional therapy into existing care plans and collaborating with allied professionals—including speech-language pathologists, ENTs, dental/release providers, whole-body manual therapists and pediatric providers.

Clinical case discussions will illustrate both the challenges and opportunities of incorporating OMT into orthodontic care, offering actionable insights for improved diagnosis, retention, and patient outcomes.

Utilizing Aligner Therapy and IPE in the Complex Growing Patient: Clinical Implementations and Operational Practice Strategies

Comprehensive learning experience focused on enhancing orthodontic care and multidisciplinary approach with Invisalign® treatment for young and growing patients, patients in treatment for myofunctional problems, managing objections by parents and compliance issues with teens, and successfully implementing a streamlined workflow for low-stage treatment and retention with the Invisalign® Doctor Subscription Program. Doctors will gain practical insights and strategies to implement modern tools within the Align™ Digital Platform to expand their patient reach and successfully grow their practice through the simplicity, practice efficiency, and value that a digital workflow and clear aligner treatment provides.

Learning Objectives: Discuss the benefits and opportunities of treating growing patients with Invisalign® clear aligners and Invisalign® Palatal Expander System.

1. Apply strategies learned to treat growing and adolescent patients, in particular those seeking multidisciplinary therapies, with Invisalign® clear aligners.

2. Create a process that enhances the patient experience and drives growth within the practice.
